Riverfront Plaza Coming To Downtown Jacksonville, Florida
Exciting developments are reshaping the landscape of downtown Jacksonville, Florida, as construction kicks. Construction has finally begun on Riverfront Plaza in Downtown Jacksonville. The former site of The Landing is getting a total facelift in the coming years.
The first phase or Phase 1B will focus on infrastructure, including the bulkhead on the river. This will be vital towards the overall development of the area. Phase 1B will also include the construction of a cafe’, a playground and a large green space. This phase is expected to be completed in mid 2025.
Future phases of this project will include thousands of square feet of new commercial space which will be available for lease. The goal is to attract many new restaurants and other local businesses to create this amazing walkable area of downtown. More than 1,400 condos and apartments have been built over the past few years and there in another 1,500 currently under construction. All of this new development is part of a larger plan to rejuvenate and energize the spirit of downtown Jacksonville.
